FuHeL – Future Healthcare Leaders in Respiratory Medicine – MENTORING PROGRAMME
INTRODUCTION
Since the 3rd International Workshop on Lung Health, in 2017 the congress has offered the opportunity to 10 – 12 early career clinicians and researchers to attend, during the event, a side “Mentoring Programme” dedicated specifically to help younger professionals to boosts their career.
The Mentoring Programme has been delivered by successful and still young researchers and clinicians accompanying personally the participants in discovering what are the tricks to know and learn to be able to affirm as professionals in the international environment.
Every year the programme is slightly different adapting also to the background of the participants.

This year the Mentors, Professors Aliberti, Chalmers and Shoemark have decided to focus on real life “career mentoring”, as to say, discuss with the young participants the challenges to be expected when they decide to pursue a career in Respiratory Medicine.
The programme would touch topics like how to identify and grab opportunities, how to avoid or overcome obstacles, how to successfully manage relationships, how to keep going with the sometimes very limited resources you have at the beginning, how to deal with the difficulties conciliating private and professional life in different national and organizational environments, how to emerge within the national and international competitive environment, etc.
If you are an early career professional in Respiratory Medicine or related specialties, we invite you to send your candidacy to be accepted within the FuHeL programme before the 15th of November 2021 registering on the website and submitting your CV.
The participants of the FuHeL Programme will be chosen among the ones submitting their candidacy based on the following criteria:
- Age and curriculum – ideal target interns, PhD Students, Post Docs
- Time of submission of the candidacy – first time first served basis
Please note that if your candidacy is accepted to be confirmed you need to pay your registration fee.
